Love is his meaning: At prayer with Julian of Norwich

November 8 @ 4:00 pm - November 10 @ 2:00 pm

A time of reflection led by Christopher Chapman

Julian of Norwich was a woman of prayer, a spiritual guide and the most down to earth of theologians. She lived in a turbulent time and sought to make a sense of how a good God could allow difficult things to happen. She saw no anger in God: no desire to punish or blame. For her, love was God’s meaning: love that was tender, resourceful and deep. In this retreat we will journey with Julian into ‘who’ and ‘how’ God is, and what this means for our lives.

Christopher Chapman is an experienced retreat leader and spiritual director. He is the author of ‘Seeing in the Dark, Earthed in God’ and ‘Send My Roots Rain’. He is a regular guest director at St. Beuno’s Jesuit Spirituality Centre and teaches spirituality at St. Augustine’s College of Theology.
